This all-inclusive journey through Egypt has been thoughtfully crafted for families who wish to explore some of Egypt's most famous ancient landmarks, combined with engaging activities for children and plenty of relaxation time by the Red Sea. We ensure our groups are kept small and handpick family-friendly guides who will bring Egypt to life for both kids and adults. With exciting experiences like a camel ride, a traditional felucca cruise on the Nile, remarkable sightseeing, and a beach resort stay by the Red Sea, this family adventure promises unforgettable memories.
We begin this family tour in Cairo, where we visit the majestic Pyramids and Sphinx, followed by a trip to the expansive Egyptian Museum, renowned for its Tutankhamun collection and eerie mummy room. Afterward, we board an overnight sleeper train to the charming town of Aswan, located on the banks of the Nile River. Here, we explore the Philae Temple, participate in an English/Arabic language session at a local school (available during term time), and savour a traditional Nubian meal. An optional early morning trip to the remarkable Sun Temple of Ramses II at Abu Simbel is also available. Departing Aswan, we sail down the Nile aboard a classic felucca boat, enjoying the serene rural landscapes. In Luxor, we delve into the ancient pharaohs' tombs in the Valley of the Kings and explore the grand Karnak Temple complex. Our journey then takes us to the Red Sea coast at Hurghada, where we unwind during a peaceful 3-day beach break before returning to Cairo by flight. We round off our Egyptian experience with a tour of Cairo, including visits to the Citadel and Khan-el-Khalili bazaar, followed by a farewell dinner and airport transfer for your return flight.

Our day begins with a trip to the impressive Pyramids and Sphinx at Giza, one of the Seven Wonders of the Ancient World. While at the Pyramids, we enjoy a brief camel ride, which is not only an enjoyable experience for the whole family but also a fantastic opportunity for photographs. We then head into central Cairo to visit the Egyptian Museum, home to a vast collection of ancient artefacts, mummies, and the world-renowned Tutankhamun exhibit, complete with the iconic golden funerary mask. In the evening, we board the overnight sleeper train to Aswan (approximately 12 hours, private twin cabins).

We reach Aswan in the late morning. The River Nile looks stunning here, and we begin with a boat tour to the magnificent Philae temple on an island. This impressive temple was moved to its current location following the creation of Lake Nasser. During school terms, we will also visit a nearby school where we can take part in an enjoyable and casual English/Arabic language lesson, which we aim to organise with children around the same age as those in your group. Later in the day, you will have the opportunity to try a traditional Nubian meal.

Early this morning, there is an opportunity to embark on a tour to witness the sunrise at the awe-inspiring temples of Ramses II at Abu Simbel. These remarkable temples were meticulously dismantled and reassembled, stone by stone, to protect them from the rising waters of Lake Nasser. If you opt not to take the Abu Simbel tour, the morning is yours to explore Aswan’s vibrant and exotic bazaar, or perhaps unwind at the hotel before we board our traditional felucca sailboat to begin our journey down the Nile. We spend an enjoyable night sleeping on the deck of the sailboat, well cared for by our warm and welcoming Nubian crew. Throughout the voyage, clean toilets and showers are provided on our accompanying support boat, which meets up with the felucca periodically (there is also the option to upgrade to an additional night at the hotel in Aswan instead of staying overnight on the felucca).

After breakfast, we continue our journey along the Nile, taking in the stunning landscape as we sail downstream. We then travel to Luxor, where we check into our hotel, conveniently located alongside the Nile. The remainder of the afternoon is yours to either unwind at the hotel or venture out into Luxor to experience the sights and sounds of this captivating town.

Early this morning, you have the opportunity to embark on a sunrise hot air balloon ride over the west bank of the Nile. Our sightseeing for today takes us to the West Bank, where we will visit the ancient tombs in the Valley of the Kings, steeped in history, and discover the remarkable temple of Queen Hatshepsut, where we will hear about her fascinating life. The afternoon offers time to unwind at your hotel, or perhaps you may wish to continue exploring Luxor town. You could enjoy another felucca ride on the Nile to Banana Island, or visit the intriguing Mummification Museum.

This morning, we explore one of Egypt's most significant and awe-inspiring landmarks, Karnak Temple, renowned for its expansive temples, elegant obelisks, colossal statues, and grand colonnades. Following lunch, we embark on a scenic drive through the hills towards the Red Sea, where we will spend a few days relaxing at our beach resort in Hurghada (on a half-board basis). An upgrade to all-inclusive is available, or you may choose to change to a higher-tier resort or one of a different style.

For the next three days, you have the freedom to unwind by the resort pool or beach, or take part in the array of watersports and activities available. There’s an abundance of things to enjoy both in and around Hurghada, including snorkelling and scuba diving in the stunning coral reefs, a variety of water sports and exciting water parks, adventurous camel rides through the desert, as well as a visit to Hurghada's old town and marina, which are also worth discovering.

This morning, we head to the local airport for our flight with Egypt Air back to Cairo. Upon arrival in Cairo, we will embark on a brief tour to discover the city. We will visit the ancient mosque and museum at the Citadel, which also provides a stunning view over the city, and have the chance to explore, perhaps engage in some haggling, and shop for souvenirs in the winding Khan-el-Khalili bazaar. We will make a stop at a traditional Koshari restaurant to savour lunch, and later in the evening, a delicious farewell dinner will be included to bid farewell to your local guide and fellow travellers.
