This tour has been carefully designed for families who want to enjoy exploring some of Egypt's most iconic and famous ancient sites as well as some more adventurous activities for the children, and time chilling out by the Red Sea. Our group sizes are deliberately kept small, and we carefully selected our guides to bring Egypt to life for both you and your children. With a camel ride, felucca cruise on the Nile, amazing sightseeing, and a beach resort by the Red Sea, this tour for the whole family will be one to remember.
Starting in Cairo, we take a trip to the unmissable Pyramids and Sphinx along with the Egyptian Museum and its famous mummy room and Tutankhamun exhibition. We next jump on board the overnight sleeper train to Aswan where we visit the temple of Philae, join in on an English/Arabic language session at a local school (term times only), and sample a traditional Nubian meal. There is an extra option to visit the Sun Temple of Ramses II at Abu Simbel. From Aswan we sail down the Nile towards Luxor on board a traditional felluca sailboat. At Luxor we explorer the musty tombs of the Valley of the Kings and huge temple complex of Karnak. We then drive to Hurghada for a change of pace and 3 full days relaxing in a Red Sea beach resort before catching the flight back to Cairo. Our final day in Cairo is taken up with a tour of the city, including the Citadel and Khan-el-Khalili bazaar and a farewell meal before the tour ends with a transfer to the airport for your flight home.

Hotel Gala Dinners
Many of Egypt's hotels and Nile cruise boats arrange a very special gala dinner in the evening on Christmas Eve and New Year's Eve. Payment for these is often optional on Christmas Eve (24 Dec) but may be compulsory on New Year's Eve (31 Dec), whether you attend or not. Prices can range from around US$50 to over US$150 per person. Final decisions on prices and whether dinners are compulsory are made relatively close to the time. Gala dinner prices are therefore not included in our prices above, and will be added to your booking if required. More information is available on request.
If you would like to do this tour privately just for your family or together with some other families you like to travel with, we can certainly arrange this for you. Please contact us for details and prices.
