Beirut is a surprisingly modern and energetic city, and this short 4-day break is an excellent introduction to the city and its surroundings. From old souks and market to modern designer shops, Beirut is the perfect place of the shopaholic and with plenty of things to see and do, you'll love your time in this wonderful city.
We start our Beirut break with sightseeing tour of the city, including a drive to Pigeon Rock, a famous beauty spot, time to visit the National Museum and a stop at Martyrs Square. Next, we head out to the nearby Dog River, with its archaeological inscriptions date back to Pharaonic times and then descend into the spectacular cave system known as Jeita Grotto. These two interconnected caves span a total length of almost 9 km and are adorned with splendid stalactites and stalagmites.
This tour stays at the Hotel Albergo, which is a 'Relais & Chateaux' property, and the large suites are full of antiques and period furniture.
