If you only have a short time in Cairo, this is a perfect way to spend a day enjoying an expertly guided introduction to Egypt's amazing Pharaonic history and spectacular ancient sites.

After picking you up from your hotel in Cairo or from the airport, we start our tour at the breath taking Pyramids of Giza on the outskirts of the city. Here one of our specialist Egyptologist guides will explain the history of pyramid building and give you an introduction to Pharaonic times in ancient Egypt. You'll have the chance to climb down inside one of the pyramids and have a good look around. Close by the mysterious Sphinx stands guard, as it has done for thousands of years. You have another guided tour around the sphinx, also allowing some free time to walk around and take photos and explore the surroundings.

After a break for lunch, our next stop is the famous Egyptian Museum in central Cairo. One of the world's great museum, you'll explore a huge collection of artefacts from Egypt's past with your guide, including the famous King Tutankhamun display.

At the end of your day in Cairo there is a little free time and an option to visit the orphanage that we support in Cairo before we transfer you to your hotel or back to the airport.
