Meet and greet at the airport and transfer to your hotel. The rest of the day is free for you to settle into the hotel and relax after your journey.
Enjoy a full day tour of the famous pyramids and Sphinx at Gisa before visiting the Egyptian Museum in Cairo to see the famous Tutankhamun exhibit. In the evening we board the overnight sleeper train to Luxor.
After arriving in Luxor this morning you have some free time to relax in your 4 or 5-star hotel hotel right on the banks of the Nile. You can explore Luxor's markets, visit the Mummification Museum, take a felucca sailboat trip on the Nile or visit Banana Island. Later in the day we visit the impressive Luxor temple, which sits right in the middle of town and is beautifully lit up at night..
We cross the Nile today to visit the sights on the west bank including the Valley of the Kings, Queen Hatchepsut and Medinat Habu temples, and the imposing Colossi of Memnon. There is also an option to take an early morning hot air balloon flight over the Nile. We then return to Luxor where you have some free time in the afternoon before we explore the huge complex of temples and ruins at Karnak where we learn more about ancient Egyptian history and marvel at their towering coloumns and statues. Later in the evening we board the overnight sleeper train back to Cairo.
We arrive back in Cairo in the morning and your day is free to explore the city further yourselves, or take one of a range of day trip options. These include a guided tour of the city which visits the Citadel, Mosques, Coptic Cairo and the famous Khan-el-Khalili bazaar. Alternatively you could visit the coastal city of Alexandria with its colonial architecture, or head into the desert to visit the freshwater lake at Wadi Rayan and the World Heritage Site of the Valley of the Whales. Your final evening is free te to enjoy a farewell meal, take a dinner cruise on the Nile, or head back to the pyramids for a spectacular sound & light show.
Your last day is free for you to catch up on some last minute shopping before we transfer you to the airport for your flight home.
