You have the option of an early morning tour to the Pyramids and Sphinx today. Your tour begins with a visit to the largest Islamic University in the World, this is located in the Al Azhar Mosque. The area is known as the centre of knowledge and is home to the Mosque of Imam el Hussein, the Grandson of the Prophet Mohammed. The mosque is considered the holiest Islamic site in Egypt and can accommodate up to 30,000 people. Close to the Al Azhar Mosque you will find the Saida Zeinab Mosque, she was the granddaughter of the Prophet Mohammed. You will have time to explore the mosque before returning to your hotel in the afternoon.
After breakfast we head straight to the Egyptian Museum which is home to the treasures of Ancient Egypt, including those found in the tomb of King Tut. Here you will have a guided tour and some free time to explore a little on your own. From here we head to the Imam el Shafi Mosque. Imam el Shafi was one of the founders of the four schools of Islam and for followers of Imam el Shafi this is considered one of the most important sites. We then make our way to the Honoured Street of the Prophets family where the Mosque of Saida Nafisa is located. Saida Nafisa was also the granddaughter of the Prophet Mohammed. There mosques are all located in Old Cairo and no tour to this part of the city would be complete without a visit to the mighty Citadel of Saladin. It is here that we visit the Alabaster Mosque of Mohammed Ali which is built on one of the highest points in Cairo, offering views across the whole city. When returning to our hotel in the afternoon you have the option of a visit to the Khan-el-Khalili bazaar.

You will spend the whole day in Tanta, giving you plenty of time to explore the Mosque and surrounding city.
After an early breakfast in Cairo we drive for approximately three hours to the Mediterranean city of Alexandria. It is here we visit the El Morsi Abu el Abass Mosque. The Mosque is located in a district with many other mosques and you have the remainder of the day to explore the surrounding area. In the evening you have more free time to sample some of Alexandria’s excellent restaurants.
LAfter an early breakfast in Alexandria we return to Cairo for our flight to Luxor. We should arrive into Luxor around midday. Today we visit the ancient Temple of Luxor and the Mosque of Abu Haggag which is located on top of the temple. Our guide will provide an extensive tour of the temple and explain how the mosque ended up being built on top of it. In the evening you have the option of visiting Karnak Temple for the Sound and Light show.
Early this morning we offer an optional tour to visit the West Bank of the Nile. The tour will include a visit to the famous Valley of the Kings, Temple of Queen Hatchepsut and the Colossi of Memnon. If you don’t opt for this option then you have a free morning to relax in Luxor. In the afternoon we travel to the El Sheikh el Taib Mosque to attend a lecture, given by a Holy person.
