We begin the tour in Sharm el Sheikh, where you are met at the airport and then transferred to
Dahab. Once in Dahab, we’ll introduce you to the staff at the Dive Centre and you’ll spend the next 3 days acquiring the skills necessary to become a Rescue Diver.
The PADI Rescue Diver course comprises mainly in-water training that teaches you the skills necessary for the prevention and management of scuba diving emergencies. The course itself covers: (a) self rescue, (b) diver stress, (c) diving first aid, (d) emergency management and equipment considerations, (e) swimming and non-swimming assists, (f) panicked diver response, (g) underwater problems, (h) missing diver procedures, (i) surfacing an unconscious diver, (j) in-water artificial respiration, (k) dive accident scenarios, (l) first aid procedures for pressure related accidents and (m) exits.
This is an extensive course, which not only provides you with the skills to become a safer diver, but also teaches you to focus on other divers and identify and prevent diving accidents before they occur.
