Introduction:
 The Melia Pharaoh is a large modern hotel complex with extensive gardens and a large pyramid shaped main building in the centre of the resort. The hotel offers a range of activities and children’s facilities making it an ideal choice for families. The hotel even has its own coral reef which is perfect for snorkelling and scuba diving. The facilities within the hotel and its beach side location make this one of our first choice hotels for stays in Hurghada on our Superior level small group tours and also for private and tailor made trips.
Location:
The hotel is located right on the beach in a quiet location towards the outskirts of Hurghada. The shops, bars and restaurants of Hurghada are within easy reach (approx 15/20 mins by taxi). It is approximately 8 kilometres to Hurghada international airport and 18 kms to the city centre.
Accommodation:
 The hotel has 360 rooms and 98 bungalows. All rooms are spacious and modern and have either a king size or twin beds. Each room has a private balcony or terrace with views of the gardens or pools. Rooms in the main building and sea view rooms are available on request for a small supplement. All rooms have a fully equipped en-suite bathroom with bath and shower, individually controlled air-conditioning, satellite TV, direct dial telephone and mini-bar. There are also electrical sockets for charging cameras and mobile phones.
Bars & Restaurants:
 The main restaurant in the hotel is the Karnak and is open
for buffet breakfast, lunch and dinner. It serves a variety of international
dishes and local specialities and has a different theme every evening. The
hotel also has an outdoor buffet once a week with Barbeque and entertainment. The a la carte restaurant, the Alexandria
has seating for 84 and is open for dinner every evening with a wide choice of
international dishes. For drinks and
light meals throughout the day there is the pool snack bar and the beach
restaurant. The beach restaurant also offers a seafood buffet once a week.
The Lobby bar and the Arab style café Farfasha are both open
for drinks, cocktails and refreshments throughout the day and late into the
night. To finish off the evening there is the disco ‘Fun Pub’ which has
dancing, music and regular entertainment.
Facilities & Services:
 The hotel has a freeform, split-level pool area featuring two large outdoor pools, sun terraces with sun loungers and a children’s pool. There is also an indoor pool and a fitness room with gym, sauna, steam room and massage. Other sporting activities available in the hotel are football, volleyball, table tennis, aerobics, two tennis courts, archery and boules. The hotel has a watersports and dive centre and can arrange snorkelling and scuba diving on its own private reef. The hotel also offers a range of children’s facilities including a kids club for children aged 4 - 12, a children’s playground and a mini-disco.
