The Sheraton Towers is a modern cosmopolitan 5-star hotel set right beside the River Nile in the centre of Cairo. It is a large hotel with numerous restaurants, bars and facilities including an outdoor swimming pool which is the perfect place to relax and unwind after a day spent sightseeing or shopping.
The hotel is conveniently located on the West Bank of the River Nile right in the centre of Cairo and is within walking distance of the Egyptian Museum, the Opera House and Cairo’s shopping and commercial centre. The hotel is only a 20 minute drive from the Pyramids and 30-40 minutes from the airport.
The hotel has 650 rooms which all have balconies with views of either the city or the River Nile (upgrades to Nile view rooms are available on request for a small supplement). There are 113 suites and 5 of the floors within the hotel are non-smoking. The rooms are modern, comfortably furnished and are very spacious.
All rooms have individually contolled air-condtioning and en-suite bathrooms. There is satellite TV with free in-room movies, a safe, a hairdryer and bathrobes in every room along with electrical points for charging phones and cameras.
The hotel offers numerous dining options both throughout the day and evening. There are even two restaurants that are open 24-hours: the Arrous el Nil and the Tea Garden. The Café Complet offers light snacks and El Mawardy serves local dishes and both are open from early in the morning until late at night. There is a variety of international cuisine available, from Japanese sushi served in the Sapporo Tepanyakki to Moroccan cuisine on offer in the Cassablanca restaurant. Both the Aladin Lebanese restaurant and La Mamma Italian restaurant offer views of the Nile and have regular evening entertainment. There are two bars within the hotel where you can finish off the evening: the Z Pub and the Oasis cocktail bar which are both open until 3am.
The hotel as a wide range of recreational facilities including the Xanadu Health Club which has an outdoor terrace overlooking the Nile, a fully equipped gymnasium and Spa with sauna, Jacuzzi, and steam baths. Le Mirage outdoor swimming pool has a swim-up bar offering drinks and snacks and a separate children’s pool. The hotel also has its own casino and shopping arcade with gift shops, bookstore, pharmacy and bazaar.
