Damascus, Lattakia, Aleppo, Hama, Palmya

This tour has been specifically designed to take you on a fascinating journey through Roman, Medieval and Biblical worlds. The journey starts and ends in Damascus, one of the world’s oldest continually inhabited cities and also visits Lattakia, Aleppo, Hama and Palmya. Itinerary

  • Day 1:
  • Arrive in Damascus and transfer to hotel

Upon arrival in Damascus you are met by our rep and transferred from the airport to our chosen hotel. The rest of the day is free for you to recover from your flight and explore the local area.

  • Day 2:
  • Damascus city tour.

After a morning pre tour meeting by your group guide we take you on a full day tour around Damascus. Highlights will include the National Museum, Tekkiye Suleymaniye complex, Azem Palace and the great Umayyad Mosque.

  • Day 3:
  • Drive to Lattakia via Ma’loula and Krak des Chavaliers.
Today we will leave Damascus behind and head to the Mediterranean city of Lattakia. En-route we will make stops at the Aramaic speaking village of Ma'loula and the Crusader Castle of Krak des Chevaliers.
  • Day 4:
  • Drive to Aleppo via Ugarit & Saladin's castle

After breakfast in Lattakia we follow the coast to ancient ruins of Ugarit. We have a guided tour here before continuing to Aleppo via the impressive Castle of Saladin.

  • Day 5:
  • Morning visit St Simeons Monastery. Afternoon Aleppo city tour.

Today we have a morning tour to the Basilica of St Simeon before returning to Aleppo for an afternoon tour which will feature the Great Mosque and the Citadel. Free time to explore the Souq al Attareen.

  • Day 6:
  • Drive to Palmyra via Apamea and Hama.

We leave the north of Syria behind today to travel to the 'Bride of the Desert' - Palmyra. We have stops along the way at the Roman town of Apamea and in Hama to view the famous moaning waterwheels.

  • Day 7:
  • Full day at Palmyra. Evening drive to Damascus.

You have a guided tour of Palmyra today followed by plenty of free time to explore further on your own. Late in the afternoon we will return to Damascus for your final evening in Syria.

  • Day 8:
  • Tour ends in Damascus. Transfer to Airport.

Your tour comes to an end today. You have some free time in Damascus until we transfer you to the airport for your departure flight.
