Upon arrival in Damascus you are met by our rep and transferred from the airport to our chosen hotel. The rest of the day is free for you to recover from your flight and explore the local area.
After a morning pre tour meeting by your group guide we take you on a full day tour around Damascus. Highlights will include the National Museum, Tekkiye Suleymaniye complex, Azem Palace and the great Umayyad Mosque.
After breakfast in Lattakia we follow the coast to ancient ruins of Ugarit. We have a guided tour here before continuing to Aleppo via the impressive Castle of Saladin.
Today we have a morning tour to the Basilica of St Simeon before returning to Aleppo for an afternoon tour which will feature the Great Mosque and the Citadel. Free time to explore the Souq al Attareen.
We leave the north of Syria behind today to travel to the 'Bride of the Desert' - Palmyra. We have stops along the way at the Roman town of Apamea and in Hama to view the famous moaning waterwheels.
You have a guided tour of Palmyra today followed by plenty of free time to explore further on your own. Late in the afternoon we will return to Damascus for your final evening in Syria.
Today we leave Syria behind and cross the border in Jordan. Along the way we will make stops to view the Roman ruins at Bosra and Shahba.
We start the day with a tour of Amman, visiting the Roman amphitheatre and Odeon, along with other interesting sites. We then take to the road heading south along the desert highway to Red Sea resort town of Aqaba.
After breakfast we meet clients arriving by ferry from Egypt and a visit to Aqaba Fort, we then head into the spectacular desert scenery of Wadi Rum for a jeep safari, Bedouin lunch, and overnight desert camp under the stars. Options for a camel ride in the desert are also available if you wish.
We leave Wadi Rum after breakfast, and make the short drive to Petra where we
provide a 4-hour guided tour, lunch, and free time to explore Jordan's most
famous tourist site.
We tour 'Little Petra' this morning, and in the afternoon have the chance to
revisit the main site again.
Today's drive is up the scenic King's Highway, with stops en-route to explore
the huge crusader castle at Kerak, view the majestic valley of Wadi Mujib, see
the intricate Roman mosaics at Madaba, and enjoy views over Israel from Mt.
Nebo. We finish the day in Amman.
Our morning tour is to the extensive Roman ruins at Jerash, close to Amman.
In the afternoon we swim, or try to swim, in the extremely salty and strange
waters of the Dead Sea. We return to Amman in time to spend a little time
looking around the city centre in the evening.
The tour finishes today, and your time is free in Amman until we pick you up from the hotel and transfer you to the airport for your flight home.
