This tour allows you to enjoy your first diving course in the Red Sea, which boasts deep clear blue waters and an extremely diverse marine ecosystem including some of the most beautiful coral reefs in the world. The PADI Open Water Diver course is the world’s most popular diving course, and Dahab is an ideal location to learn, with no pool sessions required due to the shallow bay and reefs which give you the chance to see plenty of coral & fish during the course itself. Dahab’s relaxed nightlife tops it off. Read more
We meet you in Sharm-el-Sheikh airport and transfer you to your hotel in Dahab (approx 1&1/2 hours). An extension to the Pyramids, Sphinx and Museum in Cairo is available if you wish.
We take you to the dive centre, Dahab Divers, this morning
which is located in the Lighthouse area of Dahab where we will introduce you to
the team there. They will go through the various components of the Open water course with you and then you will begin the course after this.
The PADI Open Water course consists of confined water training followed by 4 open water dives. The confined water training in Dahab is actually done in the sea in the shallow water in the Lighthouse area. it has a sloping sandy bottom making it perfect for training dives.
You continue today with the confined water training dives where you will learn to master a number of tasks which include mask clearing, out of air situations and controlled emergency ascents. There is also some theory to be completed in order to qualify as a PADI Open water scuba diver and this will be done in between dives with your instructor and also in the evenings after your days diving.
You continue the course today with the open water dives which is where you now are able to go out and enjoy some of the other dive sites of Dahab. Some tasks will need to be done again whilst on the dives and your instructor will let you know before each dive which task he will ask you to complete.
This will be your last day of diving today as 24 hours must
be allowed after your last day before you fly.You will now do your remaining 2 open water dives required in order to complete the course. You will also be required to do a final exam which you will need to pass in order to become a PADI Open Water Diver.
Your time is free today until we transfer you to Sharm-el-Sheikh airport in time for your flight home.
We use a range of carefully selected hotels on our group departures. If you have specific requests for hotels, please ask for a private or tailor-made tour.
