The Egypt Uncovered team

Ralph Foulds
Operations Director, UK

Ralph first explored the Middle East as an overland expedition passenger and driver, and later founded our company with Martin Hosie. Ralph now manages our tour operations throughout Egypt, Jordan and Syria. This covers designing and improving our holiday itineraries, selecting hotels and managing allocations, and working with our guides and local teams to ensure that these tours turn into reality on the ground. He is committed to ensuring you get the best possible experience during your holiday, and that our UK and local teams work together as closely and happily as possible. He is also responsible for handling any complaints and feedback.  

Martin Hosie
Marketing Director, UK

Martin also got to know Egypt, Jordan and Syria by travelling overland, first independently by motorbike and then also through driving many of our early overland expeditions. After founding the company with Ralph, he now manages our marketing in the UK, particularly concentrating online and in ensuring that you have the best possible experience while using our websites.  Despite spending lots of time at the computer, Martin is never happier than when he is on the road travelling through both familiar and new countries.

Janet Northrop
Bookings Manager, UK

Janet has spent most of her life working in the travel industry and has gathered a wealth of experience. She is a keen and active traveller and is also a qualified PADI Dive Master with over 150 dives under her belt. Jan manages our UK sales team, and ensures that our customers have a good and efficient experience in all their dealings with us here in the UK. She also handles enquiries for tailor-made holidays in Egypt and Jordan, and larger group bookings. She is never happier though, than when she is diving in Dahab, and returns there at least once a year. 

Anthony Horrobin
Travel Consultant, UK

Ant has worked within the UK travel industry for over 8 years now, starting off in travel agents selling both package tours and exclusive tailor-made holidays. Over the years he has gained a wealth of experience and knowledge and has a passion for the Middle East in particular. Ant is now our main specialist covering private and tailor-made holidays in Syria, Lebanon and Jordan, as well as Egypt. He also handles fishing enquiries.

His most memorable travel experiences are climbing Mount Sinai in Egypt and walking the Via DeLarosa in Old Jerusalem.

Kristy Blakeley
Travel Consultant, UK

Kristy has enjoyed working in the travel industry since 2004, working as both a travel consultant and agency manager both here in the UK and in Australia. She has been fortunate to travel extensively throughout the world, including several visits to Egypt, and as our resident Australian, she is never happier than when she has her toes in the sand.

Kristy covers enquiries for both our small-group and tailor-made tours in Egypt and Jordan.

Andy Whitehead
Travel Consultant, UK

Andy's first years in the travel industry were spent working as a specialist travel photographer, and he travelled the world taking shots for holiday brochures, websites and other publications. Since joining us, Andy covers small-group and tailor-made holidays in Egypt, and is also responsible for managing and improving our stock of photos used on our websites and in other literature.

Mohamed Kamel
Operations Manager, Egypt

Mohamed is in responsible for our local operations in Egypt and is based in our office in Cairo. He is dedicated to making your tours run smoothly, and is responsible for the relationships we have with all the hotels, cruise boats and other services we use in Egypt. He is a highly committed and motivated member of our team and has a great deal of experience in the travel and hospitality industry.

Ahmed Khalifa
Head Cairo Rep, Egypt

Ahmed looks after all our guests in Cairo and is responsible for all the practical day-to-day running of our tours. He has been in the travel industry and worked with Egypt Uncovered for many years and is a greatly valued member of our team. Ahmed is always on hand to help, whether it be organising extra options or sorting out any problems or issues our clients might have whilst on one of our tours.
