If your idea of a perfect holiday combines culture and adventure then our Egypt adventure holidays are the ones for you. These are some of our most popular Egypt tours, and merge sightseeing around Egypt's most important and historic ancient sites, with some more adventurous activities such as overnight felucca sailboat trips on the Nile. We generally start in Cairo, home of the pyramids, sphinx and Egyptian Museum, and then head into the Nile Valley to explore the ancient Pharaonic sites such as the Valley of the Kings and Karnak temple around Luxor, and the temple of Ramses II at Abu Simbel. A felucca trip sailing down the Nile is one of the highlights of many of these tours, and provides a relaxing and fun way to balance out your sightseeing visits.
Most of our Egypt adventure holidays then come to a close back in Cairo, but your experience doesn't have to end there as you can head into the western deserts, to the Red Sea, or cross into Jordan to extend your adventure.

This tour travels through the Nile Valley visiting Egypt's ancient sites and monuments. From the Pyramids and Sphinx in Cairo, to Abu Simbel temple, the Valley of the Kings and Karnak Temple, we take in all the main sites, and include a peaceful felucca cruise (or luxury Nile cruise) down the Nile stopping at riverside temples and villages. A great introduction to Egypt in just 9 days.
One of our most popular itineraries, this tour starts with visits to the Pyramids, Sphinx and Egyptian Museum in Cairo before we head south through the Nile Valley. From Aswan, we take a peaceful felucca sailboat or luxury Dahabiya cruise along the Nile to Luxor, where we explore temples & tombs on both banks of the river. The tour ends with time for you to relax at the beaches and cafes at Dahab, to snorkel or scuba-dive among the coral reefs of the Red Sea, and if you wish, to climb Mt. Sinai.
If you’re looking to enjoy some ancient Egypt tours and to explore the highlights of Jordan in the same holiday, then our Ancient Encounters tour could be ideal. We start with Egypt pyramid tours, the sphinx, and Egyptian Museum in Cairo before heading to Aswan to visit the beautiful island temple at Philae and Aswan Dam. You can also visit the amazing temples to Ramses II at Abu Simbel. You will then start your traditional Felucca cruise down the Nile on your way to Luxor in the Nile Valley. Here you will visit some amazing temples and the tombs of the Valley of the Kings before heading the Red Sea for some relaxation and snorkelling. Egypt’s Red Sea has incredible diving, snorkelling, and amazing seafood and has loads of fun activities such as quad biking, kite boarding, windsurfing and horse and camel riding. We then fly into Jordan for a full tour of the main sites, including a jeep safari and a night in a Bedouin camp in Wadi Rum. Also visited are the crusader castle of Kerak, Little Petra and of course the world renowned UNESCO World Heritage site of Petra itself. We also enjoy a drive along the scenic King's Highway and a swim in the strange salty waters of the Dead Sea.
